Senior Procurement Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded, and detail-oriented Senior Procurement Executive to manage and support end-to-end procurement across pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare, biomedical engineering, technical projects, and general business requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with management, engineering, operations, finance, project teams, suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing technical and commercial documentation, driving vendor follow-ups, and taking ownership of procurement activities in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle from sourcing to delivery and close-out.
• Source, prequalify, and evaluate local and international suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, prepare technical/commercial comparisons, and negotiate terms.
• Coordinate tenders, compliance checks, clarifications, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, consultants, and service providers.
• Prepare POs, approvals, contracts, supplier records, and procurement documents.
• Track orders, production, inspections, FAT/SAT, deliveries, invoices, and payments.
• Procure pharmaceutical machinery, API equipment, laboratory equipment, and project services.
• Review specifications, datasheets, drawings, scopes, and compliance requirements.
• Support vendor due diligence, qualification, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate imports/exports, freight, customs, insurance, and logistics.
• Maintain procurement records, trackers, status updates, and supplier relationships.

Requirements

MANDATOTY

• Strong CAPEX procurement experience covering capital equipment, machinery, process systems, or major project purchases.
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, particularly API development, manufacturing, process development, or scale-up.
• Experience working with international suppliers, technical teams, and cross-border logistics.

PREFERRED

• Experience sourcing process equipment, laboratory systems, utilities, automation, or engineering services for API facilities.
• Knowledge of international shipping, import/export, customs, and supplier compliance.
• Experience working across countries, cultures, and time zones.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Pharmacy, Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, quotation analysis, cost evaluation, POs, vendor coordination, contracts, and delivery follow-up.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and work with engineering, scientific, quality, finance, and operations teams.
• Strong negotiation, commercial judgment, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.

TECHNICAL & DIGITAL SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to prepare RFQs, tender documents, bid comparisons, reports, trackers, and management summaries.
• Experience with ERP, SharePoint, procurement, or document-management systems is an advantage.
• Comfortable with virtual collaboration, digital records, and international time zones.
