Agronomist Organic Greenhouse Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Agronomist to lead large-scale organic greenhouse operations, combining strong technical expertise with a commercial mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end organic greenhouse crop production.

Develop climate-based crop plans and identify high-value crops for local and export markets.

Optimize irrigation, organic fertigation, climate control, and crop health.

Manage organic pest and disease control.

Ensure compliance with organic certification standards.

Lead greenhouse teams and improve operational efficiency.

Monitor yield, crop cycles, quality, losses, and profitability.

Use production and market data to support scaling and commercial growth.

Requirements

7–10+ years of experience in greenhouse, protected cultivation, or controlled-environment agriculture.

Proven experience in commercial-scale organic farming.

Strong knowledge of crop production, irrigation, nutrition, and climate management.

Strong commercial, analytical, and leadership skills.

Preferred: Experience with bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, leafy greens, herbs, strawberries, hydroponics, or export-oriented agriculture.
