Cost Accountant

About the Role

Our client, a leading luxury furniture and interior design company with a 52-year reputation for excellence, is expanding and seeking a dynamic and driven professional to join their team.

With growing demand for the brand, alongside the continued expansion and diversification of its group of companies, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cost Accountant / Cost Executive to contribute to the company’s continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse cost estimates for furniture manufacturing and interior design projects.
• Support management with costing reports, variance analysis, and profitability insights.
• Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets.
• Work closely with design, production, and project teams to ensure cost efficiency.
• Assist with pricing strategies and the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Identify and recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost requirements for projects, including raw materials, labour, and other associated costs, to support the development and maintenance of project budgets.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in costing, preferably within a furniture manufacturing or related manufacturing environment.
• Fully or part-qualified in Costing / Management Accounting, such as CIMA, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive approach to identifying cost efficiencies and supporting business performance.
